On Sunday, October 12, 2025, De Hallen Amsterdam will celebrate Black Achievement Day, organized by the KunstenDialogue Foundation as part of Black Achievement Month. This afternoon celebrates and acknowledges the creativity and contributions from the black community. Music, dance, encounters and young talents are at the heart of this free event, where everyone is very welcome.
An inspiring afternoon during Black Achievement Month in De Hallen Amsterdam!
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, De Hallen Amsterdam will celebrate Black Achievement Day, organized by the KunstenDialogue Foundation as part of Black Achievement Month. This afternoon celebrates and acknowledges the creativity and contributions from the black community. Music, dance, encounters and young talents are at the heart of this free event, where everyone is very welcome.
Visitors can look forward to:
- The ABC Gospel Choir, which opens the afternoon with swinging and soulful vocals.
- Violinist Teddy Wiggins together with young players from Hanna Matthijse's violin school.
- Dance performances by Fabia Dance Center, Degas International Dance Academy, Henny Jurriëns Studio and the Academy of Theatre & Dance, among others.
- Singer-songwriter Isaac Bullock, which adds an intimate musical note to the afternoon.
In addition to the performances, there is a art and business market, where visual artists do their work
