Let’s talk about our bodies

Women's health still does not receive the attention it deserves. Research shows that women, and women of color in particular, are more frequently underdiagnosed, taken less seriously in medical settings, and more often face inequality in healthcare. This event focuses on breaking that silence.

Talks & Community

Former Member of the European Parliament, BAM ambassador, and author Samira Rafaela will discuss the themes from her book Let’s Talk About Our Bodies: breaking the uterine taboo. Drawing on personal experiences and societal insights, she highlights why openness about uterine and hormone-related conditions is essential.

A short presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with experts from the medical field. Together, they will explore the causes of medical inequality, the consequences of taboos surrounding women's health, and the changes needed for better care and greater recognition. The evening will conclude with an open discussion, providing space for questions, shared experiences, and networking.
