Amsterdam Language Café - Lindyhop Edition
Amsterdam Language Café is an event for locals and expats to exchange languages. It is a collaboration with the Stampij dance school, which will offer Lindy Hop workshops. It is an event to meet people, learn something new and practice languages but, above all, to have fun.

The concept of the Amsterdam Language Café is simple: all nationalities are welcome and you can practice any language you want to improve. You'll receive a sticker with your name, the languages you speak, and the languages you want to practice. After that, your language exchange can begin! You are welcome from 8 p.m. During the evening, Stampij dance school also organizes optional Lindy Hop workshops.
Lindy Hop is a swing dance for partners that originated in the early 20th century within Black communities in Harlem, New York. The dance is playful, expressive and improvisational, and always linked to the music. Lindy Hop is mainly danced to jazz and rhythm & blues music. Although it is a partner dance, solo jazz elements are an important part of the dance.
