Fabrice in Fragments
A posthumous exhibition, proudly presented by his daughters
From August 16 to 29, the Beeldend Gesproken gallery space will host an exhibition organized by the daughters of Amsterdam artist Fabrice Hünd (1961-2021). Fabrice in Fragments showcases a carefully curated selection of paintings that reflect Hünd’s versatility and unmistakable style: figurative, colorful, and full of life. His daughters are delighted to share this work with the world so that everyone can enjoy it.

“Fabrice Hünd was more than an artist. He was a true Amsterdammer, a man who felt the city and loved it back on canvas, on walls, and in mosaics. In the years when Amsterdam went through dark times—neighborhoods neglected, facades dilapidated, and streets gloomy—it was Fabrice who brought color and life where others looked away. He painted on raw walls, gave shape to what was in danger of being forgotten, and sparked something in the people who walked past his work.
Those neighborhoods are now, partly thanks to his presence, prosperous and a joy to walk through. His mosaics are woven into the Amsterdam streetscape—recognizable, beloved, and indispensable. But Fabrice also created works for the home: paintings that people took with them, bringing rooms to life and holding onto memories.
We are proud to present Fabrice in Fragments – an exhibition that celebrates his painting. A carefully curated selection of his works, brought together with love and attention, now finally shared with the world. It is the third exhibition since his passing on December 31, 2021, and it is intentionally celebratory in nature. This is not a farewell, but a celebration.”
