Second Saturdays Dance: Beats, Bodies & Books
As part of our new Second Saturdays Dance series, Beats, Bodies & Books is an interdisciplinary dance and music evening where young composers and choreographers collaborate to create new work. Providing space for experimentation, talent development, and connection, the evening offers a stage for new artistic voices.
This first evening consists of three new works. Choreographer Tim Kromhout and composer Joop de Graaf explore the relationship between jazz, hip-hop, and storytelling through movement and sound. Choreographer Estelle McGuinness and composer Sterre Honde create a new piece, performed alongside dancer Ainsley Nivens. Additionally, choreographer Diede Schuur and composer Maia Steinberg present the results of their artistic collaboration.
After the performance, the audience is invited to an Artist Talk in Café Belcampo, where the creators will be interviewed by Gary Feingold, director of the KunstenDialoog Foundation.
